The James Denman Middle School PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) welcomes you to our community site, where we share family-related news, information about the PTSA and our events, how to participate in the community, and ways to donate to programs that benefit our students and staff.
Looking for information from our wonderful administration? Hop over to the Denman page at the SFUSD website.
Back to School Night is Wednesday, September 9, from 5:30 to 7 pm. Meet your children’s teachers, connect with staff, and stop by Denman PTSA’s table in the main hallway!
Come meet your fellow PTSA parents, and enjoy pizza, baked goods and treats, and drinks available for purchase. All proceeds benefit our school site and go toward funding:
the Wellness Center and social-emotional support
classroom supplies and equipment
STEAM/STEM support
student clubs and Robotics Team
field trips, including overnight camping
family engagement
Denman Pride lunchtime BBQs, and more!
We accept credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, and cash.

It's easy to make a difference at Denman Middle School. All levels of involvement, big and small, are needed and appreciated.
Fill out our interest form to share anything you'd like to participate in, and we'll contact you with reminders about volunteering and joining the PTSA over the summer.
Also, visit this page to learn how to connect with other families on social media and our community group platform, groups.io.
We invite participation in committees, which are small groups that help with PTSA operations:
Volunteer Committee: be notified first of volunteer needs and think of people who could help
Membership Committee: promote the benefits of PTSA membership
Nominating Committee: in January and February, recruit Executive Board members for the next school year
Budget Committee: estimate how much we'll raise and prioritize our spending
Fundraising Committee: brainstorm, solicit donations, or plan/run fundraising events
Grants Committee: vote on whether to fund staff program grant applications several times a year
Financial Review Committee: 2x/year, ensure that the Financial Reviewer examined our records properly
